Te Tahawai Marae.
On Monday the year 5,6,7 and 8 went for a trip. When the bus came and the room 4 girls when to the top and some of the year 5 and 6 went to the bottom and the rest went to the top. When we got there we had to stand and wait till we were called in. When we got called in we had to take off your shoes. When we got inside we got into the back and boys in the front. Then we had some speeches and a prayer. We all had to wash our hands and then we eat one biscuit and we drink water. Next, we had to split into two groups. One of the groups stayed in the kitchen and the other one went in to the wharenui. All the boys stayed with the year 7 and 8 and the year 5, 6 went in the wharenui. When we were in the wharenui we were learning about poupou and the ancestors and we did some artwork of the ancestors. Nexts we went to the kitchen to make a card that shows you your family in korus. We learned about the 3 types of korus, and a poi song. My favorite part was when we made cards. Then we went back to school.
